BrainPOP is an interactive website that was conceived by Dr. Avraham Kadar, M.D., an immunologist and pediatrician, as a creative way to explain difficult concepts to his young patients. It is designed exceptionally well, and is fun and easy for children to use. From an educator's point of view, it is an excellent way to provide access to information to a wide range of learners. Many schools are already using this site as a compliment to their curriculums by having children use it both in school and at home. Topics from a variety of curriculum areas are covered, from reading and writing to science. They are even beginning to add information about relationships and social skills! Declan is particuluarly fond of the movie that talks about friends. Visit at http://www.brainpopjr.com/
Jenny, I use BrainPOP all the time for school and it is really fun. I think it is really cool how Decky uses it for things like that. heart and smiles, Clemmy
